About Sayable

With over 20 years of working life in the UK, I know how it feels to live between languages — thinking one thing in Korean, saying another in English, and worrying how it sounds. Sayable is where I turn that experience into something useful: stories that teach the English people actually speak.

I've spent most of my adult life using English at work while carrying Korean habits in the background. I know the quiet questions: Am I being too direct? Too indirect? Do I sound competent enough to say this in English?

What finally helped wasn't more grammar. It was realising that natural English lives in situations, not rules — and a story is the simplest way to step inside a situation, as many times as you like.

So that's what Sayable is: short stories, told slowly and clearly in modern English. Fables you can fall asleep to. Everyday disasters you'll recognise. Each one carrying a phrase real English speakers genuinely use — learned the way language is meant to be learned, by hearing it live inside a moment.
